Gaerhyfryd Caravan Site

Set in open countryside just outside the small town of Corwen, just off the A5 Gaerhyfryd is the perfect escape. 

Corwen has everything that you will need, a convenience store, post office, pharmacy, cafes, steam railway and leisure centre. We are also only 5 minutes from Rhug Organic Farm shop, with award winning cafe, shop and takeaway. The local pub The Blue Lion in Cynwyd is only a short walk away, serving home cooked meals, or stay put and relax on your fully serviced pitch. 

Fully Serviced Pitches

Each of the 37 pitches has stone hardstanding with a grassy area. Tents are not permitted on the site. Pup tents are allowed.
There is an individual service post for each pitch. This includes; electric hookup, cold water tap, TV aeriel connection, a grey water drain and night light. Pitch numbers are on the service posts. These are included in your nightly rate. 

Dogs and other pets

We welcome dogs and pets to the site. You are responsible for your pet’s behaviour. You must make sure your pet is under control at all times; dogs must be kept on a secure lead no more than 2 metres long. Please exercise your dog in the dog walk areas, where provided.

We know accidents can’t always be avoided, but in the event of fouling on your pitch please clean up quickly and use the dog bins provided. Please also follow this practice elsewhere on the site and when using the dog walk areas.

Unless you have an assistance dog (guide or hearing), dogs aren’t allowed in the toilet blocks, laundry rooms or dishwashing areas.

    What's The Maximum Capacity Per Pitch?

    The maximum capacity is X6 Guests and X3 Dogs.


    What Does My Pitch Have To Offer?

    Adequate space for caravan/motorhome an awning and an additional car. If further vehicles are required there will be a cost e.g A motor home two cars and an awning (you will need to pay for the second car)


    What Do I Do If I Turn Up And Nobody Is On Site?

    Please refer to your email regarding your pitch number. The site plan is displayed on the memo board as you enter our site. Please drive to your pitch. The site warden will greet you on return. We do have an emergency contact number located on our memo board if you require any assistance.


    Is There A Rule On How To Park My Outfit?

    We do have a 5mph speed limit onsite (one way system) and ask for you to reverse your vehicle into the correct position. There will be a charge if there is any damage to our pitches/service posts. Please park your car infront of your outfit or besides it. Please do not park your vehicle on other pitches unless asked to do so by the warden. If there is not enough space for your car please inform the warden and they will inform you on where's best to park you car.


    How Can I Pay My Balance?

    The balance payment can be paid online via guest login. There also will be a link sent to you via email and you can manage the payment via that link. If you are experiencing any difficulties Please don't hesite to contact us the phone line is open from 10am - 6pm everyday. If we do not answer the phone please leave a message and we will get back to you asap. 


    Am I Allowed To Have Visitors?

    Yes, Please let the site warden know for security reasons. There will be an additional charge if they wish to stay the night.


    If I Wish To Extend My Stay, Would It Be Possible?

    Yes, If we have availability we can arrange that for you. Please let the site warden know or contact us. (we can't guarantee that you will be situated on the same pitch)


    Could I Depart Later Then 11am? 

    Yes (if we have availibility), If you wish to stay longer on your departure day please let us know as there will be an additional charge. (From 11am - 2pm £7. Later than 2pm you will be charged for an additional night)


    What's The Latest Time That I Could Arrive On Site?

    It's Helpful for us to know your ETA however we understand that it could be earlier or later. Please contact us if you are unable to arrive onsite before 8pm.


    Can We Bring A Firepit/BBQ?

    Yes, we do not supply fuel on site. Further information on our site rules.


    Is There A Curfew?

    We do not have a curfew but ask you to be respectful of other guests when returning back to the site late evening. 


    Where Can I Charge My Car? 

    EV charging is not permitted on our site. The closest car charging station is at Rhug Organic Farm Estate which is back onto the A5 and first right.


    Where Can I Leave A Review?

    You can leave a review on our Google page or our Facebook page or on our website. 


    When Does The Season Begin And Finish?

    The season begins on the 1st of March each year. The season ends on the 5th of November.
